The letter underscores the historical contributions of the Circassian community and the current challenges and risks they are facing, while expressing confidence in Türkiye’s inclusive and justice-oriented leadership. Through this appeal, Türkiye is respectfully called upon to support the Circassian minority in Syria in the following areas:

    • Protection of their cultural identity and fundamental rights
    • Recognition as a distinct minority group in accordance with international standards
    • Facilitation of access to humanitarian and development assistance
    • Ensuring fair political representation within emerging governance structures

    • Initiating efforts to recognize the Circassians in Syria as a distinct minority group in accordance with international standards
    • Supporting projects aimed at preserving and revitalizing the Circassian language, culture, and heritage
    • Implementing targeted humanitarian and development programs for Circassian communities facing difficult conditions
    • Establishing cooperation with the Circassian National Assembly in Türkiye’s diplomatic engagements related to Syria
